John is dedicated to making the legal system accessible to his clients. John’s areas of practice include estate planning for non-traditional families, trusts, LGBT senior law, and probate administration. John views the law as a means to creating positive change in the lives of the clients and families he serves.
John’s belief is that attorneys and the legal system should be approachable and so he carries that philosophy through in his practice. With baby boomers reaching their golden years, he understands that the need for elder law services will only grow and that it is the legal system, not senior citizens that should adapt to meet this challenge. John believes that the Twin Cities’ Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) seniors have a unique stake in elder law and that they require a unique talent to meet their distinctive legal needs. I am an avid vegetable gardener. I enjoy making wine and I have a bad coffee habit. I love all of the seasons in Minnesota, but I particularly enjoy the spring and summer for camping, dining outside, and walking around the lakes in South Minneapolis.

Allison is committed to the future of Twin Cities senior citizens and their families. Allison chose the areas of elder law, medical assistance, estate planning, incapacity planning, and trusts to make a positive change in both the field and in the lives of the clients she serves. Her decision to pursue a career in this field is tempered by her belief that the way we treat our elders is a measure of our success as a society.
Allison understands baby boomers are changing the experience of seniors in America. Knowing that this change will impact seniors and their families alike, she is endeavoring to be a resource to guide clients and families through the legal process to protect their rights as they reach their golden years. Allison appreciates that this guidance is unique for each family and is well-practiced at navigating through the challenges that the legal system presents to seniors. Education

I love to read. I love spending time outside - whether it be gardening, going on a walk or snowshoeing in the winter. I am passionate about cooking, and love to try challenging new recipes. Some women enjoy shopping for shoes or bags, but I prefer looking over tomatoes at the farmer's market or visiting a specialty cheese shop.

I focus my practice on adoption and assisted reproduction, including stepparent and second parent adoptions, direct placements, open and independent adoptions, gestational carrier agreements, and paternity and maternity agreements.
I place a high priority on personal attention and service, making certain that you are always well-informed regarding the status of your case. I will never turn your matter over to a junior lawyer or a paralegal, although I do use a paralegal to assist in document preparation to keep fees as low as possible. Most of my representation is on a flat fee basis so you will know exactly what your costs will be. Education
